Boosters

Boosters give you a small edge in a duel. Use them well and they can turn a close round. Use them badly and they're just gone.

The rules in short

You can equip two boosters per duel.

Each booster can be used once per round.

When you use a booster, it's used up.

Equipping boosters

1. In the lobby, next to your boss, you'll see two slots under „BOOSTER fürs Match“ (boosters for the match).
2. Tap a slot. The booster picker opens.
3. Choose a booster and tap „IN SLOT 1“ or „IN SLOT 2“.
4. Do the same for the second slot if you want.
5. Start the duel. Whatever is in the slots goes into your next match.

You start with three each of Schild (shield), Wut (rage) and Heilung (heal). Shield and rage are already equipped.

You don't have to equip boosters. Without them, you just play your boss as is.

Using boosters in a duel

Your equipped boosters show up as two buttons on the right, above the action buttons. Tap one and it kicks in. On a computer, use the 1 and 2 keys.

Because each booster only works once per round, timing matters. A booster at the start of a round, when nothing's happening yet, often does very little. The interesting moment is when things get tight or you spot an opening.

Boosters come in five groups: attack, protection, control, movement and special. What each one does is shown in the booster picker, along with what it's especially strong against.

Used up means used up

Once you use a booster, it's gone from your inventory. That's true even if you lose the round anyway. Equipped boosters you don't use stay yours. This also applies in link duels with friends: every use costs a booster there too.

Where do boosters come from?

You buy boosters with Konfetti. You can buy single ones right in the booster picker, and the shop has packs of three. On top of that, there are three booster offers every day, five of one booster at 30 % off.

Boosters also sometimes come in the Boombox, and reaching rank 10 in the league gets you a whole bundle.

A few tips

• Save boosters for duels where you're playing a valuable card.
• Pick two boosters that work well together instead of the same one twice.
• Try new boosters in a link duel with a friend. You don't risk a card or Konfetti there. The booster itself still gets used up, though.
• Keep an eye on the score. In a deciding third round, a booster is worth more than in the first.

If a booster is gone even though you didn't use it, write to us at hallo@superkrass.com. Include your player ID from the profile menu and roughly when the duel was.
